Application PULDAR
Effective Date April 8, 2026
Platform iOS

PULDAR respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PULDAR handles information when you use the PULDAR mobile application and related features. PULDAR is designed as a local-first budgeting app — its core budgeting, expense parsing, and data management features are intended to work primarily on your device rather than through a centralized user account system.

This Privacy Policy applies to the PULDAR iOS application, including features such as manual expense entry, receipt scanning, budgeting tools, history and export tools, widgets, settings sync, optional diagnostics, and any Apple-provided platform services the app uses.

PULDAR may process the following categories of information you provide or generate through use of the app:

  • Expense and transaction information, such as merchant names, amounts, dates, notes, categories, and budget bucket assignments.
  • Budget information, such as monthly income, budget allocation percentages, rollover preferences, and recurring expenses.
  • Customization data, such as renamed categories, custom categories, preferred input language, and preferred currency.
  • Receipt content, including text extracted from receipts you scan using your device camera.
  • History and export data, including CSV, JSON, backup, and diagnostic files you choose to generate.
  • Limited technical and app-state information in optional diagnostics exports, such as app version, iOS version, device model, budget-state summaries, and locally stored diagnostic entries.
  • Widget snapshot data, such as summarized budget balances used to display PULDAR widgets.
  • Apple Wallet import metadata, if and when that feature becomes available, such as imported transaction identifiers, account identifiers, import timestamps, and duplicate-prevention metadata.

PULDAR uses information only to operate the app's features, including to:

  • parse natural-language expense entries;
  • process scanned receipt text into structured transactions;
  • calculate budgets, balances, overspending, and remaining amounts;
  • display dashboard, history, widget, and settings information;
  • save your preferences and category customizations;
  • export data when you request it;
  • support optional Apple Wallet transaction import if enabled in a future eligible release;
  • provide optional, user-controlled diagnostic exports for troubleshooting.

PULDAR is not designed to use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to data brokers.

PULDAR includes on-device parsing for natural-language entries and receipt text. Based on the current app design, expense parsing is intended to run locally on your device using a downloaded on-device model, rather than sending your transaction text to a remote AI service for routine parsing.

The app may download the on-device model to your device the first time that feature is set up. After that download, parsing is intended to run locally.

PULDAR is built as a local-first application. Most budgeting and transaction data is stored on your device using local app storage.

Depending on Apple platform availability and your device/account configuration, some app data may also sync through Apple services, including:

  • CloudKit-backed sync for core app data where supported;
  • iCloud key-value storage for certain lightweight settings and customizations;
  • app group storage used to share summary data with PULDAR widgets.

PULDAR does not rely on a PULDAR-operated central user database for core budgeting data.

PULDAR does not automatically sell your personal information and is not designed to automatically share your budgeting data with third-party advertisers.

Your information may be shared only in limited cases:

  • With Apple, when you use Apple platform features such as iCloud, CloudKit, widgets, in-app purchases, or future Apple Wallet import features.
  • With a recipient you choose, if you export CSV, JSON, backup, or diagnostic files and then share them yourself.
  • As required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

If you manually export or share files, you control that disclosure.

PULDAR includes optional diagnostic logging designed for user-controlled support. Diagnostic logging is disabled by default unless you enable it. Diagnostic logs remain on your device unless you explicitly export them.

If you export diagnostics, the file may include:

  • app version and build number;
  • iOS version and device model;
  • diagnostic event entries;
  • budget-state information such as monthly income, budget percentages, totals, and counts of expenses or recurring expenses.

You should review exported files before sharing them with anyone.

If you use PULDAR widgets, the app may store summarized budget snapshot data in a shared app container so the widget can display your budget information. This may include totals and per-bucket budget balances. This widget data is used only to power the widget display.

PULDAR includes code paths intended to support Apple Wallet transaction import through Apple's FinanceKit framework if Apple approvals and device eligibility allow it in a future release.

If this feature becomes available and you choose to use it, PULDAR may process imported transaction data and store related identifiers needed to prevent duplicate imports and maintain transaction history. The feature depends on Apple's platform permissions and entitlements and may not be available in all builds or jurisdictions.

If you purchase or restore a subscription, billing and payment processing are handled by Apple through the App Store. PULDAR does not receive your full payment card number. PULDAR may receive limited subscription status information from Apple necessary to unlock app features.

PULDAR generally retains your data until you delete it, remove the app, clear app data, or export and manage it yourself. Certain information may persist in Apple-managed backups or sync systems depending on your device settings and Apple account configuration.

Diagnostic logs remain stored locally until cleared or removed. Exported files remain wherever you save or share them.

You can control your data in several ways, including by:

  • editing or deleting expenses and recurring expenses;
  • changing category names and custom categories;
  • disabling or avoiding optional features such as diagnostics or widgets;
  • choosing whether to export data;
  • deleting app data from your device;
  • uninstalling the app;
  • managing iCloud, CloudKit, App Store, and Apple Wallet permissions through Apple settings where applicable.

PULDAR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a PULDAR-operated backend service.

PULDAR is designed to reduce unnecessary data transfer by keeping core budgeting functionality local-first. However, no device, software environment, transmission method, or cloud service can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple account, backups, and any exported files you choose to store or share.

If Apple sync or platform services are used, your information may be processed by Apple according to Apple's systems and terms, which may involve storage or transfer in locations outside your region.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and publish the revised version in the app, on the app listing, or through another appropriate channel.
